Timothy Geithner Sworn In as Chief Thief at Treasury

Posted on January 26, 2009. Filed under: News of the Day, Political Issues |

Monday, January 26, 2009–  Pres. Obama presented his Treasury Secretary before he was sworn in by VP Biden tonight after the US Senate confirmed Geithner in a 60-34 vote. The cheers and applause were loud and prolonged after the ceremony for the man who cheated on his taxes, seemingly lied about it, got caught and made one excuse after another. And he had an illegal nanny. If this had been a Republican nominee, or even a nominee for any of the previous Demoncrat Presidents with previous Demoncrat Senates, he would have been rejected. But the Obamanator can do no wrong and the economic crisis is so urgent and Geithner is so obviously the only man who can do the job, that integrity, honor and basic leadership do not matter. This man is corrupt and should not have been approved by the Senate. The man in charge of the Treasury Dept. which includes the IRS is  very possibly a Tax Cheat, Thief and Liar.

As usual, a new Demoncrat administration promises a higher level of openness and ethics, but they bring in a man under such a dark cloud of admitted wrongdoing that it makes all their claims at being ethical laughable.

The 10 Republicans who voted yes were Sens. Bob Corker of Tennessee, John Cornyn of Texas, Mike Crapo of Idaho, John Ensign of Nevada, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, Hatch of Utah, Richard Shelby of Alabama, Olympia Snowe of Maine and George Voinovich of Ohio.

The Democrats voting no were Sens. Byrd, Russell Feingold of Wisconsin and Harkin of Iowa. Also voting no was Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who caucuses with Democrats.

My Senator, John Cornyn also voted for Sen. Clinton to be confirmed as Sec. of State even though she is seriously compromised by her husband’s Library and Foundation donation fiasco.

Here is the sad story:

All Texas Voters need to join me in contacting Sen. Cornyn and expressing outrage at his voting for Geithner!

And here is a good editorial from Baptist Press:
