Airborne! Pvt. Luke Walker Graduates from Jump School!

Friday, June 27, 2008 Fort Benning, GA.– Pvt. Luke Walker graduated from the US Army Airborne School this morning at 0900 EST. After a short leave back home in Fort Worth, TX. he will report for duty at Fort Bragg, NC in the 2nd BDE of the 82nd Div. (Airborne).

Luke’s assigned regiment, the 325th, fought in WW1 and WW2. In the Normandy invasion and Operation Market Garden in WW2 the 325th was a Glider Infantry Regt. The unit also parachuted into combat in Grenada and Panama. The Falcon Bde. also saw combat in the first Gulf War and in the current Iraq War.

Luke’s Grandfather, Tommy, was able to pin on Luke’s jump wings in the ceremony this morning. Dawn’s parents were there for Luke during his weekend passes at Basic and afterwards.
